CPWR – The Center for Construction Research and Training developed and continues to maintain/expand this Web site, the Electronic Library of Construction Occupational Safety and Health, www.elcosh.org. CPWR, formerly known as The Center to Protect Workers’ Rights, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit research and training institution. Created by the Building and Construction Trades Department, AFL-CIO, CPWR serves as the research arm of the BCTD. Since the inception of its research agenda in 1990, CPWR has grown into a worldwide provider of safety and health information covering all aspects of the construction industry. CPWR launched eLCOSH in 2000 and the Spanish-language version of the site in 2001. CPWR also created and continues to build Construction Solutions, www.cpwrConstructionSolutions.org, a free online database of construction hazards and ways to prevent, eliminate or reduce them. |
