NIOSH has prepared a guide on how to judge whether a change in the workplace improves safety or health for workers. The 2004 booklet, Does It Really Work? How to Evaluate Safety and Health Changes in the Workplace, uses examples from the nursing home, meat processing, grocery, and dry cleaning industries.
