Worker deaths from falls from telecommunications towers are increasing as more of the towers are built and require maintenance. NIOSH presents five case studies from its FACE program and recommends what tower owners, workers, and employers can do to prevent deaths from injuries, including complying with an OSHA directive, training workers and hoist operators, and using 100% fall protection above 25 feet.
