The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH or the Institute) wishes to inform respirator users that the NIOSH certificates of approval listed below for Survivair Incorporated’s Willson ® Dalloz Safety Products respirator assemblies using the P95 filter have been revoked effective August 25, 2005.
The Institute has revoked these certificates of approval because of the respirator’s failure to meet the performance requirements of Title 42, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 84 (42 CFR 84). During product audit testing conducted at the Institute, the P95 filters failed the Dioctyl Phthalate (DOP) test. The P95 filter is a component of all of these respirators that have had the NIOSH approval revoked.
Revocation of approval means that Survivair Incorporated’s Willson® Dalloz Safety Products P95 filters and assemblies will no longer be listed as NIOSH-approved respirators. Revocation also means that respirators bearing these approval numbers may no longer be manufactured, assembled, sold, or distributed.
